      How to navigate a protocol using keyboard shortcuts

      Learn how to quickly unveil a protocol using keyboard shortcuts

      This HOW-TO requires access to the Triage and/or Protocol Editor Module(s) -  Part of Corti Engage


      Every second counts.

      We know that as call-takers, you sometimes end up in calls where you have to act as quickly as possible. This is why the protocol flow has pre-recorded keyboard shortcuts that you can use to go over your protocols rapidly:

      Kiosk mode

      • Press  CommandPeriod  for Mac or  ControlPeriod  for Windows for Kiosk Mode.

      Active step (active card)

      Keyboard Shortcut Description
      Down Arrow Within a card, focus on the answer right below
      Up Arrow Within a card, focus on the answer right above
      ShiftDown Arrow  Within a card, jump to and focus on the first answer of the block below (if any)
      ShiftUp Arrow Within a card, jump to and focus on the first answer of the block above (if any)
      Enter

      Validate an answer

      Enter "Edit Mode" if the  answer/block currently focused on contains text input
      Escape
      • exit "Edit Mode" in text input blocks
      • blur a focused Block / Option.
      • turn the editing off (and/or deselect it if the editing is off already ) for a focused Simple-text-input-block / Multiline-text-input-block / Flow-value-collector-block.
      Right Arrow

      Navigate one step forward, to the next card*
      Left Arrow Navigate one step back, to the previous card
      Enter
      • select/deselect a focused Option;
      • click a focused Action-block it.
      • enable the type-in of a focused Text-input-block / Multiselect-text-input-block.
      • enable the navigation between tags in a focused Flow-value-collector-block.

      *NB: the next card needs to appear on the right side of the protocol flow for you to be able to navigate one step forward using the keyboard shortcut.

      Go to

      While you are in session view:

      • Press  Slash  to select and activate the search bar;
      • Press  Escape  to focus on the triage flow;

      Select Action

      • Press  M key  to open the actions menu.
      • Press  Escape  to focus on the triage flow;

      Alerts/Detections widget

      • Press  A key  to trigger the first alert action;

      Session Takeover/Handover

      The avatar for the owner and the spectators (if any) are unified under the same menu.

      In order to open the Takeover/Handover session:

      • Press letter  U key  to open the panel (then you can navigate using arrow keys and enter)

      Detection log

      • Press  D key  to open the AI detection log.

      Pins

      • Press  P key  to open the Pins

      Comments

      • Press  C key  to open the Comments

      Breadcrumbs

      • Press  N key  to focus the navigation (breadcrumbs)

      Flow-value-collector block

      When you are in a Flow value collector:

      • Press  Left Arrow  to navigate one Tag backward;
      • Press  Right Arrow  to navigate one Tag forward;
      • Press  Enter  on  FVC Plus  to create new value. When you’re done press enter. After you save icon  FVC Plus  is on focus.
      • Press  Enter  to edit already created value
      • Press  Enter   and  Delete  to click the tag or its “delete” button depending on what is focused;

      Glossary

      Below you can find a brief legend for the terminology used above:

      • FOCUSED ON generally is signaled by a blue line marking the perimeter of the option/ item
      • BLUR basically means 'defocus', deselect the current item/option you are focused on.
      • A CLICKED option is highlighted in blue, and if a radio button/ check-box is present it is ticked.
